Praia da Arrifana
Situated in a small fishing village, this beach is an interesting scoop of sand surrounded by grey ravines which extend into promontories. A truly luxurious landscape, where stands the stone statue of the needle, a large dark, narrow cliff and pointed, cone-shaped, to emerge from the sea, in the extreme south, and traces of the ancient fortress of the 17th century. Clear and transparent blue sea dotted by abundant and small stones mixed with the sand. Ideal for the practice of surf. The 29 of August can assist in areal to 29 bath folk tradition, ritual related to the legend of the taking of the castle of Aljezur to the Moors. There are some cafés and restaurants serving typical dishes at moderate prices.
