Sendo um dos maiores produtores nacionais de amêndoa, Moncorvo presenteia-nos com a amêndoa coberta, que é confecionada "à bicuda branca" (só açúcar), "à morena" (açúcar com chocolate ou canela) e "à peladinha" (o grão é coberto com uma camada fina de açúcar).

Neste local poderá adquirir os famosos tapetes de Arraiolos, cuja manufatura foi iniciada pelos mouros, que, provavelmente, empregavam fios de lã. Mais tarde, com o incremento do turismo iniciou-se a exportação de tapetes de Arraiolos, dando origem a diversos centros de produção no país.

A gastronomia do Ribatejo apresenta particularidades distintas das restantes regiões, uma vez que os segredos da gastronomia passam de geração em geração. O sável, peixe abundante no Tejo, deu origem a este prato e a outros pratos regionais como a açorda de sável ou a caldeirada à fragateiro.
