A river that is born on the Estrela Mountain and flows to the Alva river, in Alvôco das Várzeas, in the parish of Oliveira do Hospital. It measures 37 km and has two tributaries, the Lorigo Brook and the Piodães Brook.

Pedestrian path with about eight kilometers long, starting and finishing at the House of Arts and culture of the Tagus. The serra das Carved, visiting some military monuments, the wheel bearings and the Conhal (monumental set of blocks of quartzite).

Pedestrian path with beginning and end in Malveira da Serra, via Janes, Valley of Horses, river of Mule, Oleaster, Alcorvim and yellow stone. Along the way you can enjoy the richness of its fauna and flora.

Small pedestrian path route, signaled, held at Serra da Nogueira, more precisely in the parishes of Carrazedo and Zoio. It is recommended to be carried out in the spring, when offers great weather and a great diversity of plants in flower.

The Homem River is a tributary on the right bank of the Cávado, with a length of 37 kilometers. It rises in the Serra do Gerês and it is on this river that the Vilarinho das Furnas hydroelectric plant is located.
