This church, sided by a hospital, started its construction in 1581, in the place of the old Espírito Santo hermitage, by order of the bishop Dom Afonso Castelo Branco. In the sequence of the great damage inflicted by the earthquake in 1755, the façade was remodelled and a new hospital was built.

Inhabited by the writer during the last 15 years of his life, Casa Fernando Pessoa has an exhibition on three floors about the poet's life and work and a library specialized in world poetry. It is a place of literature that crosses memory, literary creation, and reading. In 2021, it was distinguished by the Portuguese Museology Association with the Best Portuguese Museum Award.

The construction of this space began in 1570 and ended only in the XVIII century, a fact is known for. The National Pantheon was placed here since 1916, with the Vasco da Gama, Afonso de Albuquerque, Nuno Álvares Pereira, Camões, Pedro Álvares Cabral, Infante D. Henrique, some Presidents and writers tombs. Amália Rodrigues, the famous fado singer, is the only woman here.

Exemplary monument of the grandeur of the Age of Discoveries, which is the maximum exponent of the Manueline style. The initial risk belongs to Boitaca, the architect who laid the foundations for the work. Built in limestone, it has a facade that exceeds 300 meters. Highlights include the exuberantly decorated south portico, which is one of the masterpieces of Flaming Gothic, and a double cloister considered one of the most beautiful in the world. A must-visit monument.

Also known as the Church of São Cipriano and of 16th century origin, the Main Church of Vila Nova de Cerveira is located on the main street of the town, consisting of three naves, two bell towers, a chancel and a main altarpiece, in the Baroque style, by master Veríssimo Barbosa. Pay attention to the details of the tabernacle, surrounded by angels and flanked by two quadrangular niches with sculptures representing the Adoration of the Magi and the scene of the Last Judgment.
