In the Archaeological area, it exhibits archaeological findings related to the people who lived here since the caves days to the Bronze Age and the Muslim occupation. In the Ethnography part, it contains a collection of agricultural utensils. In the same building, one can also visit the Municipal Art Gallery.

16th century church, rebuilt during the 18th century after the 1755 earthquake. A renaissance doorway remains from the original build. The church has an extremely simple interior comprising only one nave and triumphal arch. Currently, in one of the wings of this temple, works the sacred art museum Monsenhor Manuel Francisco Pardal.
Castelo de Aljezur

Human occupation at this site dates back to the Iron Age. The castle is built on a hillock overlooking a brook, and it was used to protect the river port (that established a connection between the town and the sea) and to defend the local population from enemy attack. Two towers form part of the vast walled defence structure. From the top of the defensive walls one can see the plain and the hills that roll right up to Monte Clérigo beach.
