A wide space with many trees and tables, benches and barbecues for picnics, as well as a wood bandstand. There is also a small space with a sand floor where the children can play.

Located on a wide green area, on the right bank of the Mira River, offers recreational and leisure facilities, with a thematic journey where you can meet the riparian zone.

Open to sailing from its mouth to Odemira, the Mira River is known for the beauty of its estuary. It has a significant variety of habitats and cultures, rice fields, sand banks, beaches and cliffs.

This garden is dotted with camelias and ornamental bushes. The balcony is sided by walls. Along the farm's structures there is a vine covered trail, supported by granit columns and side by stone paths. It is private property and produces on of the best Alvarinho (green wine) wines in the region, hence visits are only possible with the owners' authorisation. Nonetheless, the views from the outside, by the entranc gates, is majestic.

A picturesque small town, with traditional houses and an imortant heritage. Mértola has the Castle and the Mother Church, both classed as National Monuments, and the paleo-Christian Basilique.

Garden situated along the walls and Castle of Marvão, with garden areas in geometric figures. The view you get of the garden is simply fantastic.

To the north of the district capital Portalegre, at an altitude of 862 metres, the Marvão Mountain, from the top of its fortress, has views of the Estrela and Gardunha Mountains (to the north) and the São Mamede Mountain (to the south). Places like Castelo Branco, Alpedrinha or Monsanto are distant dots from here.

The Mondego river is the longest Portuguese river. It starts on the Estrela Mountain, at an approximate altitude of 1425 metres and flows to the Atlantic Ocean after 258 kilometres, near Fugueira da Foz. Its tributaries are the Dão, on the right bank, and the Alva, Ceira and Arunca, on the left bank.
