A viilage located in a scenic area, that has rustic granite houses along irregular streets. The inhabitants are mostly small farmers. The economy is dominated by the chestnut, the cattle and some agricultural products. Located in a granit area, at the Aguiar Valley, there is a castle that dates back to the 9th century. There is a 200 years old musical band, composed of local inhabitants and some who live in the surrounding areas.

This belvedere has views of the Zêzere river valley and the Cabril dam. Hence, it is an obligatory visit.

Ribeira de Pera rises in Serra da Lousã, more precisely in Porto Ervideiro, at 1180 meters above sea level. It crosses the municipality of Castanheira de Pera and Pedrógão Grande and flows into the Zêzere. Along the way, there are other points of interest, such as the caster mills and the old oil mill.

Zêzere River Dam, is one of the largest Portuguese dams and also constitutes one of the largest freshwater reserves in the country. The landscape from here is imposing.

Small village located on the slopes of Cabeço de Monsanto, at an altitude of 758 meters, known as "the most Portuguese village in Portugal". Rustic nature and human construction unite in a harmonious combination, looking, from a distance, like a stone fortress. The houses are "invaded" by huge granite boulders that serve as floor, wall or roof. Inhabited by military origins, it was here that, according to legend, Viriato withstood a seven-year siege. Monsanto Castle was reconquered from the Arabs.

A belvedere with magnificent views of the entire parish and of the Lousã mountain.

A belvedere located in the extremity of the Promontório do Sítio, that falls abruptly to the sea, where one finds the Fortress of São Miguel Arcanjo, whose construction was ordered by Dom Sebastião, in 1577, for the defense of the bay from the algerian, moroccan and normand pirates. To the east there are views of the Salgado beach and, to the west, of the town of Nazaré and the Norte beach.

From this viewpoint we can get magnificent panoramic views over the natural pools, as well as on the islet from the top. Topo islet is an islet about 200000 m2 area and integrated into Special Protection Zone of the Island from the top and adjacent coast. A legally protected area due to its richness in marine avifauna.

Large forest park created along the route of a line of water where are still visible some mills. Classified as recreational forest reserve since 1989, here we can find viewpoints, fences with animals, picnic areas and several tramlines.
