Montalegre

Fortified settlement located southwest of the village of deer, especially in the landscape. Easily identified the two lines of wall that surround the Hill, however, the dense vegetation prevents are other traces. On the upper deck are also abundant stones from buildings, as well as the remains of buildings in ruins. There are also two natural shelters, on the rocks, a hillside town and another on the upper deck. On the driveway to castro see themselves indigenous pottery shards. It is said to have been found Roman era building materials on the southern slope.

It is believed that if finds at this location a settlement prior to the village of deer, where there are remains of buildings collapse. These large concentrations of stone, resulting in several buildings, are located on this dimension of the Serra do Leiranco, a floor dedicated to this. The traces are distributed by several hectares of land and imply that it was a possible settlement of large dimensions.

At the Portela of the former, located north of the village of Penedones, there are three shallow granite outcrops, where they identify sets of anthropomorphic graves, his head perfectly defined and narrow for my feet. Traces of a probable ancient settlement, located to the West of the village of Peireses, at Carigo. Here was found some ceramic material of Roman chronology (tegullae). The land in question is not grown for some time now, what prevents a better visibility. On the way corridor private land near a water reservoir were also prevalent ceramic fragments from the same typology.

It is believed that this location, known as Fraga of the Cat and located north of the village of Walls, about 1100 meters above sea level, is an ancient settlement. It is a small elevation in the middle of the plateau of Mourela, where several ceramic fragments were found consistent with ancient occupation of the site. Structural alignments are visible, apparent and in some branch points in the boulders. Northwest side are still two large walls, about two meters wide, spaced about twenty meters. This is just a grave, easily identifiable, along with other evidence that may have been other graves. Is fully excavated in the rock, in a quite location schistose destroyed by agricultural work. Features an anthropomorphic format, noting a small circular hole near the feet, noticeably artificial. In the surrounding area there are large holes that people interpret as exploitation of tungsten mines.

Megalithic monument little evident in landscape, located next to the outpost of Mourela. Features a central Depression bit accentuated, not being visible traces of dolmen but identifying remains of lytic Cuirass. Near this tumulus is a small building of shelter type, which may have been reused some props that constituted the dolmen. Belongs to the Megalithic necropolis of the Mourela plateau.

Burial mound situated next to the crossing of a path with the County Road near a high voltage pole. Practically no longer retains the tumuli, showing a slight central depression, where if it senses the top two mainstays. Has 11 meters in diameter and are not visible remains of lytic Cuirass. The set of three tumuli of Ramiscal, this is less visible. Belongs to the Megalithic necropolis of the Mourela plateau.

Large tumulus, clearly visible in the landscape, located near the intersection of the path with the County Road. Features about 19 feet in diameter and 1.5 metres tall, with a deep central depression. Do not identify traces of dolmen, but are visible remnants of lytic Cuirass.
