A dam on the Douro river, surrounded by hillsides with trees and large rocks. The most common fish species are the chub, the barbel and the nasel. Fishing and surfing are allowed with certain restrictions. Free use of boats.
The settlement covered with fortifications. Offers Balneario excavated pre-Roman and Roman baths; Forum and possible Temple; necropolis; winepress; and graves.
This temple has a Roman foundation little conserved from the original outline. On the inside it ought to be mentioned the baroque carving from the altars and the graves from the 14th and 15th century.
