The Portas de Moura were rebuilt in 1867, being then devoted to João Baptista. On the upper part of the arch is a passage, decorated with a characteristic narrow balcony.

This was the church from the former Claris nuns Convent founded on the 15th century and dedicated to Lady of Conception. By the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century Beja suffered several destructions on its heritage and from the former convent, only the church, the cloister, the Capital room and attached divisions. In the façade it stands out the Gothic doorway and on the inside gold-leafed, carved altars and the glazed tiles coverage. These days the convent is the Rainha (Queen) D. Leonor Museum.

Located outside the Walls, next to the ancient way that connected Beja to Mértola, it was founded in the XIII century. It suffered some changes, mainly during the XVIII century that gave it the present look. The Capela do Túmulos, the Cisterna, the paintings at the Sala do capítulo and the Coro Alto stand out. It is presently part of the net of Pousadas de Portugal.

16TH century building which retains its structure Church-Hall. The Church is distinguished by large dimensions, by the creation of a unitary space and by the influence of formal solutions taken from tratadística which refer to one of the elaborate creations of Tea Architecture in the South of the country. Inside are some protobarrocos altars and a set of screens of André Reinoso. Also noteworthy are the altarpieces of gilt and polychrome, tile panels and imaginary. It was rebuilt in 1590, at the site of the primitive Church of Santiago Maior.

The set of the Castle are the keep of the era of d. Dinis, in marble, with semi-detached and a window counter matacães surrounding. Masterpiece of military architecture, the Tower of Beja has great historical-monumental value. Of defensive buildings of Roman origin only the arco da Porta da Vila and the port bow of Évora. The door of Moura is the only vestige of the medieval fortification.
