An initiative of the municipality of Coimbra, in collaboration with various local entities. Takes place at Praça do Comércio to the 4th Saturday of each month between the 09:00 and the 19:00 h.

This belvedere has magnificent panoramic views of the mountain, as well as of farms and villages near the city of Coimbra. In the area there are two rocks with poems by José Régio and António Nobre on tiles.

This foundation, that owes its name to the professor and surgeon Bissaya Barreto, relates to a wide rang of subjects, namely culture (House Museum Bissaya Barreto, Portugal dos Pequeninos and Gallery Joaquina Barreto Rosa), education (Superior Institute Bissaya Barreto), formation (Centre of Studies and Formation) and social assistance.

The Municipal Library of Coimbra is located in the Municipal House of Culture.
