This rural village is rather important in the historical context of the defense of the Portuguese borders since the foundation of the country. It has several important monuments, such as the Castle of Lindoso and the espigueiros (small cereal warehouses).

A traditional village located among fertile valleys and mountains of the Serra Amarela (Yellow Mountain). It has typical houses and cobblestone streets.

Located on the northwest hillside of the mountain, this village still has a large number of rock made, culm covered houses. The 18th century mother church and the 12th century memorial are worth a visit. The inhabitants still wear traditional clothes.

A very beautiful place with "lameiros".
