O restaurante O Cantinho, em Penacova, é uma casa pequena, confortável e aconchegante, com uma pequena esplanada e com vista para o Mondego e para a Serra do Caramulo. Praticam uma cozinha de conforto, baseada na tradição, usando receitas familiares e antigas para apresentar pratos com história a preços convidativos. De janeiro a Abril há sempre lampreia na carta. No resto do ano as opções variam entre a chanfana, e o sarrabulho, havendo também no inverno o tradicional e saboroso sarrabulho.

Simple and familiar restaurant whose specialty is, as the name implies, the roast suckling pig Bairrada in wood-burning oven and the sight of the Diners.

Taking advantage of the natural environment, we find here a panoramic room with a privileged view of one of the most beautiful areas of the river Alva. The most popular dishes are the Lamb in the oven with rice of kids; the Chanfana; Bucho stuffed; the Posta mirandesa; the Octopus to the mill owner and breaded Octopus with honey; and codfish mill owner and the House.

A Tasquinha do Clides, em Penacova, fica no centro da localidade e desde 2003 que se dedica a servir verdadeiras iguarias regionais, seja sob a forma de uma refeição completa, seja como petisco a meio da tarde. Tem apenas 25 lugares e uma decoração a fazer lembrar uma taberna, com um pequeno balcão em alumínio. Da cozinha saem propostas como a dobrada com feijão, a alheira, o bucho recheado, o arroz de galinha no forno, o ensopado de borrego e ainda a tradicional chanfana.
