A river that is born on the Barroso mountain, near Sarraquinhos, in the parish of Montalegre. It flows to the left bank of the Tâmega river, near Cabeceiras de Basto. The Covas river flows to it.

It is a monolith, which attracts visitors, who are trying to make this large stone move with just a small movement.

Area of great natural beauty, with large rock formations where it passes the river Assureira. Wooded location with several wooden footbridges, allowing visitors to pass from one side to the other.

Considered a Tree of Public Interest due to its age and its shape.

A dam located on the Barroso Plain (Cávado river) with landscapes of wheat fields and cattle lands. The most common fish species are the barbel, the nasel and the chub. Sports and leisure permitted within certain restrictions.

A dam at an altitude of 700 metres on the Rabagão river (Cávado river basin). It is quite fit for sports, namely between May and September.

The reservoir is on the borderline between Portugal and Spain. A narrow bridge connects the territories and has views of the flowing of the reservoir into the Salas river. There is much cattle eating from its fertile lands.

A dam located on the Peneda-Gerês National Park, on the Barroso plain (Cávado river). It has a small beach that becomes submerged when the water level rises. The most common fish species are the nase, the barbel and the trout. Sports and leisure under certain conditions.
