This is an imposing house ordered to be built in the beginning of the 19th century and being concluded almost thirty years after. The plan is in L, with two ample façades and two small towers finished by balustrade and pinnacles. On the inside the rooms with neoclassical decoration stand out. On the outside a gardened terrace is sided by high walls. The Palace, a private property assigned to the production of one of the most recognised Alvarinho wines in this region, receive visits.

The primitive Castle, build by Dinis in 1306, there remain only two doors and some excerpts from the medieval wall. The 17th century fortification are examples the door of Salvaterra, some curtains and bastions. The Tower, Dom Pedro I and contemporary of Don Fernando, is another of the remaining elements of the fortress.

Built in the mid 18th century presents a facade divided by wide pilasters that frame the Windows. The other body of construction is perpendicular and ends in a alpendrada balcony. On each side of the gate of access are two columns, each with a coat. The wall, which delineates a large patio, has two figures of guards. It should be noted that the wall and the gate are of later construction.
