The Municipal Museum of Alcochete was inaugrated in 1988 an comprises three different themes: archaeology, history and ethnology. Of the several historical objects here, a special note to the Manuelin Pillory, the original document of the Alcochete chart, dating back to 1515, the Book of Santa Maria de Sabonha, dated 1421/1422, and a set of wights of the Dom Manuel I reformation.
A place that welcomes several different events. It has a square, a garden, an amphitheatre, an alley a water area and parking. The auditorium has 400 seats. It has also a restaurant, ateliers and a stage.
The bandstand was inaugurated on January 15, 1956, to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the restoration of the Alcochete parish. It is a popular equipment in its character that, despite the simplicity of its composition, presents a game of profiles where the repetition of its hxagonal plan stands out.
Located in the Church of Misericórdia, recovered and adapted, this museum has been open to the public since 1993 and comprises a set of objects mainly composed of paintings, from the 16th to the 20th century, as well as objects of religious value.
