Museum reopened to the public since 1999 situated in the heart of the Bairro da Mouraria, an Islamic core displays a 14th century Arabic well, apart from some pieces of pottery and candis, who join many traces Arabs.

Museum installed in the heart of the historic centre, in a 19th century building, which hosts an initial core of more than 200 pieces of jeweller and sculptor Alberto Gordillo. There is also the functioning of workshops and work spaces on the first floor of the building.
