Located at dock nº 2 of the former Parry & Son, in Cacilhas, the Frigate D. Fernando II e Glória is a 19th century vessel, the last ship of the "Carreira da Índia", and can be visited throughout the year. There, it is possible to learn about the history of the museum ship, which was restored in 1992, after a fire destroyed part of it, in 1963, and was open to the public at EXPO 98. Through an audio guide, it is possible to delve into naval history and travel back in time.

The Naval Center holds a vast collection that illustrates the centuries-old connection of the riverside area to the river and the sea, with particular emphasis on traditional wooden shipbuilding. It has a Documentation Center, whose objective is to disseminate to the population and the educational community, in particular, information on thematic areas of its bibliographic collection, with emphasis on archaeology, art, conservation, naval construction, history, local history, museography, numismatics and heritage.

This building of the 1700s houses a centre of contemporary art and opened to the public in 1993.It has a documentation centre, the pátio gallery, a sculpture park and a botannycal garden plus an important drawings collection with the most well known Portuguese contemprary artists. It has collective, individual and themed exhibitions.

A small room that houses several theatrical companies of the parish, with regular performances of amateur theatre and also occasional performances by the Teatro de Almada company.

A museum for Almada, a house for the city. This is the new museum of the city, located in Cova da Piedade. The future City's Museum will be a live part of the city's net of cultural equipments, where different cultures inhabit and memories and the cultural heritage are preserved in a continuous process.

The Romeu Correia Municipal Forum, that includes the Public Municipal Library and the Fernando Lopes Graça Municipal Auditorium is a cultural space that features a wide range of resources in a central area of Almada.

This gallery features works by contemporary Portuguese artists. It has temporar exhibitions, both individual and collective and is an important space in the parish.

One of the most modern cinema rooms in the country, with a high quality panoramic screen, high definitions sound equipment and 830 seats. It has current films daily and some specific sessions.
