The village of Lumiares is quite well preserved. The picturesque houses are well preserved. The churchyard os where the older folks meet to share histories and traditions with the youngest.

This picturesque village has narro streets with small typical houses and a manor. Gojim's chapel is also worth a visit.

All the preserved villages at Armamar are part of a recovery project of the Rural Centre of São Martinho das Chãs. The village of São Martinho das Chãs is quite well recovered, both regarding the houses and the streets, with a perfect preservation of its rustic traits. In the village, one may visit the 13th century church, the Mother Church. From the campanile one has the most beautiful views.
