The National Park Peneda-Gerês is one of Portugal's main natural attractions for the impressive beauty of the landscapes and for the varied flora and fauna.
This trail may start at the Fountain of Saint João, a baroque fountain and the passes by the crucifix and the lovely water mill. There are many interesting places along the way, namely the House of the Fonte Velha (Old Fountain), the House of the Relógio de Sol (Sun Clock), the Church of Misericódia, the Houses of Largo and Guarda Fiscal and the Noble House of the Correio Mor. The trail ends by the Mother Church and the Farias House, just a few metres before the starting point.
A small pedestrian trail at the Lindodo parish, in the village of Parada. The trail crosses lush vegetation areas, old abandoned mills and wonderful hillside by the Lima river. A special note to the natural pool known as Poço da Gola, a unique, edenic place.
A pedestrian walk that may take up to four and a half hours, with plenty of nature and culture. Along the way there are several lovely mills as well as the river's crystal clear waters.
A small pedestrian trail that is about 6.5 km long. It has amazing views throughout and one may take a dive into the river. It heads to the typical village of Ermida with a valuable monumental heritage.
A small pedestrian walk along a 9 km distance that lasts five hours. Enjoy the fresh air and the nature, as well as excellent cultural features, such as the Aboim Castle.
