This is one of the most emblematic farms of Madeira, for here lived the Emperor Charles of Austria, after his exile in 1921. A cafeteria was placed at the Malakof tower for visitors. The tower, of indisputable beauty, offers a beautiful and romantic view of the hill. Around it there’s a garden with the same name, with a small fountain and a large rose garden.

Place of great natural beauty, this is a pole of tourist attraction. The access can be made by foot or using the telpher railway. It has a belvedere on top, offering a lovely view of region natural beauty.

Along this water-course there are several places where you can see the harbour, the bay, the Funchal amphitheatre and the modern bridge over Ribeira de João Gomes. This track, ideal to discover nature, was recovered by the town council of Funchal.
