Built in the 19th century, which operated until 1999 as a supply market. Currently, it is a large place with shops and restaurants and where several exhibitions take place.

The train from Barril beach is a tourist railroad that connects the cais da Pedras D'El Rei to Praia do Barril, Tavira island. Is about one kilometre long and the journey lasts about eight minutes. The line was built with the initial goal to serve the former tuna fishing frame located on Praia do Barril.
