Dam opened in 1976, belonging to the Port Wine region, downstream of Cachão da Valeira, about 6 km upstream of the Tua River.

The Tua River is a tributary on the right bank of the Douro River and results from the junction of the Rabaçal and Tuela rivers. The approximately 57 km length flow into the Douro River.

A dam on the Douro river basin, on the Reborda brook. It has magnificent panoramic views of the Douro Valley.

A waterfall that is over 90 metres high, surrounded by local vgetation. Near the Douro river, a special note to the pillory and the menhirs, namely the painted menhir.
