The Vala Real (Royal Pit) spreads to the south of the Aveiro tidal stream.

A space with trees and dunes, rich in mud, as in the Aveiro tidal stream, to which it is connected. It is also linked to the lagoon of Mira, by the Cana Valley, on the north side. The most common fish species are the mullet, the eel and the sole.

Also known as Lagoa de Baixo (Lagoon from down below) it has a long shape and communicates with the lagoon of Barrinha, in Mira, by the so-called Vala da Cana (Cana Pit). It is surrounded by trees, with pine woods sinc the dunes of Quiaios. There is a beach and a picnic area.
