This clock tower is a medieval monument which belongs to the former city defensive walls. The tower together with the City Council building and the misericórdia building both from the XVI century, form an important architectonic ensemble. The tower is one of the old city gates, in the form of a double arch.

This temple with gothic origins was built in granite. The façade presents a renaissance doorway crowned by a rose window and it is sided by a tower. On the interior it is possible to observe glazed tiles from the 17th century, altarpieces in gold carving in national style and two neo – manueline confessionals.

The Ínsua Fort is situated on a rocky islet and has a form of irregular polygon. Within the walls there is a small chapel which features the primitive Romanesque temple moth. On the terraces you can see some artillery pieces of brass on iron carts.

This set consists of curtains of walls and ramparts of the 18th century include the ramparts of the array and San Antonio, the wall of grace and the clock tower. The Tower, of rectangular plan, features a small terrace on which rests the Bell support. About the port that once defended the village, stands a statue of our Lady da Conceição.
