Convent built between 1509 and 1517, leaving this time only the late Renaissance cloister with two floors and the galleries and the Doric columns. Between 1789 and 1955, had military duties and, between 1810 and 1833, worked as a military Hospital. In 1834 it was extinct, reopening only in 1993, after refurbished, passing the work here the Biblioteca Municipal António Botto.

Since then, I've worked in this building an agricultural cooperative, a Union of cooperatives and, until now, a tax office. The building features a trapezoidal plan with two floors and roofs coverage of four waters, some circular skylights.
