Casa da Prelada

The Prelada House, whose author is Nicolau Nasoni, consisting of three bodies united but with different heights in each tower. The balconies and windows are made of worked granite stone. It is a XVII century garden gate that gives access to the farm. There you’ll find imposing secular trees and a box labyrinth, a plant that offers a hard wood, also known as buxeiro and buxeira.
Palácio de São João Novo

The São João Novo Palace is a baroque style building from the XVIII century. The main front and the staircase which occupies the main area of the building stand out. The main gate is dominated by a large panelled arch, whose frames end with a pair of ornament.
Igreja de São Martinho de Lordelo

Characteristic temple from the end of the XVIII century, covered with azulejos (tiles) on the exterior. The front is sided by two strong bell towers and ended by a high curved fronton. Inside, the carvings, the paintings, the sculptures and the main altar stand out.

This church belongs to the Irmandade da Nossa Senhora da Lapa. The church has a neoclassical style. This monument is famous for keeping inside the heart of the King Dom Pedro I, The Brazil Emperor. The tomb that guards this relic, presents the Portugal flag on one side and the Brazil flag on the other. At the superior part it has the swords of the Duque de Bragança.
Postigo do Carvão

This was, with its iron railings, one of the medieval entrances in the city. Located between the Rua da Fonte Taurina and the Cais da Ribeira, under the Muro dos Bacalhoeiros, this is the only wicket belonging to the XIV century medieval wall that still stands nowadays. It is in a quite hidden place, between the Rua da Fonte Taurina and the Cais da Estiva or Alfândega Velha.
