Connecting the Rossio with the Rua dos Sapateiros, it is considered one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture of its time, for its ornamental motifs.

This building, which façade is made of diamond shaped stones, is quite unique. Its construction is from the beginning of the XVI century, inspired in two Italian palaces: the Diamond Palace (Ferrara) and the Bevilacqua (Bologna).

At the east side is a sculpture that symbolizes the hydroplane that Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral used to make the Atlantic south aerial crossing, on March, 1922.

Built in the XVII century, it suffered reconstruction works after the earthquake. At the cloister, squared, open arched galleries that lodge the chapels of the Senhor dos Passos and the Encarnação, covered with carving, sculptures and glazed tiles. The church, with one nave only, has the lateral walls covered with paintings and glazed tiles.

The building has three floors and on top is a triangular fronton with the symbol of the Order of Christ. To go inside the building you pass through a small yard that leads to the cloister. Integrated in the area of the Military College is the Condes de Mesquitela Palace, whose building has two floors.

Small temple that presents a manueline portal at the main façade and, on top, the bell tower. Its interior is totally covered with XVII century glazed tiles that frame figurative panels.
