Situated between Figueira da Foz and Coimbra, Outeiro de Santa Cercis Siliquastrum and mount the Ferrestelo feature natural vegetation with a predominance of elements of Mediterranean flora, which contrast with the cultivated fields of almost the whole valley of the Mondego. Also known as clock tower of São Julião is situated on the seafront. Founded in 1950, was the first clock tower of contemporary country. Has about 15 feet tall.

This is a Masculine Monastery from the Order of Cistercians dated from the 12th century. The façade is imposing and the towers grant it a solemn air.

This church has a singular structure and it was built on the end of the 16th century. It presents a valuable material composed by the tribune, the pulpit, the altarpieces and for the paintings and the glazed tiles from the 17th century.

Church of Mercy of longitudinal plan with nave. Built in the 16 century, its structure and decoration is essentially 17 century in Mannerist style.

Historical reference and emblematic element of the city, it was built at the end of the 16th century as part of the defense system of the Mondego mouth. It has a triangular structure, a half bastion and two irregular bastions. Inside there is a small chapel dedicated to Santa Catarina de Ribamar, and a lighthouse. Currently, within its walls, there is also a tapas and cocktail restaurant.

Also referred to as Castle of Buarcos, represents what remains of an ancient medieval castle. Given its deployment on the ground, should be in its origin the existence of a fortified village.
