Located at the downtown historic centre, the São Bartolomeu Church has, inside, golden woodcarving retables, a painting describing the martyrdom of S. Lourenço, among other valuable works. The main front is sided by two bell towers, giving the building the look of a small See.

The temple belonged to a former Franciscan convent. The access is done through a six flight staircase, sided by six chapels, presenting sculptures descriding the life of Christ. From the churchyard you may view the city and close villages, the Mondego River, serras and valleys.

Neoclassical Church probably built in the 17th century. Consists of a longitudinal plan with a nave, a chancel and a vestry and a Bell Tower adossadas. Inside, the baptistery with coverage in barrel vault, for the font and the triumphal arch.
