Casa dos Quesados

Building of rectangular plan, with a chapel of longitudinal plant on one of the facades. This noble House of two storeys was probably built in the 17th century to the Quesados family housing. Later, and until 1946, worked here a Lyceum, passing on this date to be the headquarters of the direction of Roads and urbanization in the district.

According to tradition, Miguel de Vasconcelos, Secretary of State of the Duque of Olivares and of the Countess of Mântua and killed in 1640, has lived here. The house has 1500s characteristics and still preserves some windows and doors with stonework and sculptoric elements such as half columns amd medalions among others. It still has a stone coat of arms.

Neoclassical theatre of longitudinal plant, consisting of two bodies with different toppings and trapezoidal roofs of three, one and two waters. Inside, there are two atria followed, a scene set in opposition with 388 seats, distributed by audience, frisas and cabins. It was built between 1876 and 1885 and recovered in 1999, reopening in the year 2000.
