Single case of garden art from the XVII century, it presents a rationalist and ordering structure that can be seen at the grove that approaches the house, central courtyard and gardens.

The construction of the Quinta da Bacalhoa goes back to the XVI century and its gardens present a mix of renaissance style with Lusitanian tradition. Restored in 1937, the farm is considered, in its set, the most important from the beginning of Portuguese renaissance.
