An elevation that belongs to the Mount Brasil, considered the largest volcanic unit on the island and it is an area of great scenic and historical interest. There is a belvedere with privileged views of the Ribeirinha Hill, of Porto Judeu and of the Santa Bárbara Hill.

A dormant volcano, located in the Caldera Guilherme Moniz. One can go down to a depth of 100 metres to get to a lagoon with crystal clear waters. Way down below, a special note to the set of stalactites and stalagmites of volcanic glass. This cave is classed as a Regional Natural Monument.

A trade mark of the city, the central channel offers a nice way to discover Aveiro. Follow the curves of the river branch winding between the houses, waving the Moliceiros (typical boats) and surrender to the charms of the “Venice of Portugal”.

This mountain belongs to the Old Massif of Entre Douro e Tejo and its highest point is at 1227 meters. It also has a dense afforestation due to the extensive planting work, namely chestnut trees, carried out at the end of the 13th century, during the reign of Dom Dinis. It presents a great diversity of flowers, having some unique species in Portugal. A popular pilgrimage is held annually at the top of the mountain in the chapel of São Macário.

The terraces are the “ex-libris” of the Alto Douro. This landscape full of curves, with a schist terrain, is the work of the man of this region who takes care of it and plants here the famous wine of the region.

Natural resource of great beauty, with cliffs and caves in the sea. There are often walks and excursions to these rocks, and pedestrian access is not easy.

A ecopista, que vai desde a Quinta dos Cónegos, no centro da cidade, ao antigo apeadeiro de Mandim, oferece paisagens distintas, com destaque para a área arborizada, hortas, campos agrícolas ou a antiga estação ferroviária da Maia. Além do passadiço, o Ecocaminho disponibiliza um parque infantil, uma zona de desporto e um ponto de água potável.
