A 3.5 kilometres long pedestrian walk from Nazaré to Praia do Norte (North Beach), a preserved space, surrounded by dunes and pine woods.

The trail PR1 "Dinossaurs' Trail" starts at the Museum of Lourinhã and ends at the Paimogo Fortress. You may also visit the beaches, namely those of Areia Branca, Vale Frades, Caniçal and Paimogo.

A pedestrian walk that starts at the aerial cableway of Porto Moniz and proceeds for 4.5 kilometres until the Calhau da Achada da Cruz. The walk last about two hours.

An 8.2 kilometres long pedestrian walk that starts with an ascent to the tallest peak of the island, at Pico Ruivo, from where one descends to the island's parish. Along the way, one can enjoy the central mountainous massive and the Laurissilva forest.

A small pedestrian walk only half a kilometre long that passes through a fossile cliff to the Calhau beach. Enjoy the beauty of this magnificent beach but bathing is not advised because of the waves and of some rocks.This trail may be combined with the PR2 trail - the Pico Castelo Bypass.
