Quinta da Regaleira

This estate used to belong to Baron of Regaleira and it was built in the beginning of the 20th century. It was projected by the Italian scenographic architect Luigi Manini and it was built under the Romantic style. This space is considered one of the most important examples for the revival architecture in Portugal. The estate shows itself as an impressive ensemble from different styles (Roman, Gothic, Renaissance and Manueline) and constructions (gardens, wells, towers, lakes, statues and grottoes) where it is possible to feel the intimacy from this magic place.
Palácio de Monserrate

The Monserrate Palace is an eighteen hundreds construction topped by bulbous red cupolas with facades opened by doors and windows of soft Gothic curves. On the inside, there is an exuberant decoration of plaster and domes with Indian and classical themes. It is surrounded by superb and romantic gardens where it is possible to find thousands of exotic species due to this region micro-climate.
Castelo dos Mouros

Castle built in the 12th century, suffering after several modifications, above all in the reign of Dom Fernando II. It is from this period that possibly date his current appearance. The primitive Moorish Castle subsist the cistern, the line of battlements and square towers which reinforce the wall. Within the grounds there is a Romanesque chapel in ruins.
Palácio Nacional de Queluz

This construction is the result of Dom Pedro V will in transform Queluz Estate into a Palace. The work started in 1747 under Mateus Vicente de Oliveira supervision and later from J.B. Robillon who gave the Palace its decorative splendour. Inside the Palace we can stand out the Thrown room, the Music Room and the Hall of Ambassadors. Its gardens are decorates with statues, lakes and fountains. The Grand Lake or Canal presents hand-painted, polychromatic glazed tiles covering the building walls.
Igreja dos Clérigos

The set is formed by a tower, the Casa do Despacho and Clérigos Church. This monument is the maximum exponent of the Porto’s baroque style. Although it is less known than the Clérigos Tower, the Clérigos Church was built first, between 1732 and 1750. It is a Nasoni’s typical construction. Inside, the golden carving and the baroque, rococo and neoclassic pelmets stand out. This was the first big work by Nasoni and the one which made him famous. This author would never leave the Porto city and died here.

Alfândega Nova

The construction of the new Port customs building was designed in 1859, by the French engineer C.F.G. Colson. It has an area of 36000 m2 and comprises three main bodies. The building of the Customs Act, in addition to the accommodation of the services of the Museum and the Museum Association of transport and communications, a Congress and Exhibition Centre.
Igreja da Misericórdia do Porto

The Porto’s Misericórdia Church is from the XV century and its front is by Nicolau Nasoni. It suffered profound changes during the XVIII century. The rococo style is quite obvious on its decorations. Inside, the main chapel, which is from the primitive construction, deserves a careful look. At the Mesários room, a masterpiece of the gothic painting stands out.
Sé do Porto

The Sé is the main church in the city of Porto. It was built in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The first mass was held in the year 1120. In the 13th century alterations were made that completely altered the main portal. Rebuilt in the Baroque style, it kept only the rose window of its original construction. Nicolau Nasoni was the author of a galilee on the north façade, and also intervened in the decoration of the sacristy.
