Temporary exhibitions hall located in the Ajuda National Palace. The theme is, usually, the history of art. It was created in 1869 by d. Luís I and closed in 1876. In the 20th century reopened in 1988.

The 19th century palace building Sárrea Prado was adapted, achieving a modern, general-purpose cultural space, equipped with all the technical requirements for the theatre, music, dance, the new circus and other multidisciplinary artistic performances.

The Casa da Juventude de Sintra has a technical/thematic documentation centre, a computer/internet centre, a video- sound room, a meeting space, the PIJ - the IPJ's Juvenile Information Room and the UNIVA - a unit to help people be a part of active life.
