Esta guloseima é hoje confecionada na famosa Fábrica dos Fofos de Belas, gerida por Liberdade Fonseca. A autora da receita desta guloseima, que perdura há quatro gerações, foi a mãe de Liberdade Fonseca. Feitos com base em ovos, farinha e leite são já um ex-líbris de Belas.
