Convento de Nossa Senhora da Orada

This former convent was built in a Valley once desert and it lies the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Orada (formerly called Hermitage). The enormous devotion to our Lady on the part of many local fishermen is demonstrated by the amount of "ex-votos" found in the chapel of the Convent and that illustrate the miracles that occurred through his intercession. In the churchyard are two graves of victims of the constitutional struggles of the 19th century.

Built in the late 18th century, the Igreja Matriz has an imposing bell tower. On the main altar there is a valuable image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição from the 18th century and an altarpiece painted by the Albufeira artist Samora Barros. On the side altars and in the sacristy there are images from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Occupied by the Romans in the mid-2nd century, it was transformed into a political and administrative center, conquered by the Moors in 713 and taken over by the Portuguese crown in 1248. The castle was restored by Dom Dinis. The walls are made of rammed earth with battlements and a walkway that communicates with the watchtower. Traces of sections of the wall, the entrance turret and, inside, the ruins of a church with Gothic and Manueline traces remain.

Building from the beginning of the 18th century, with a popular appearance. It has a main portal with Baroque decoration and a Manueline side portal. Wooden altarpiece, unique in the Algarve, with images from the 17th and 18th centuries. There is an image of the mutilated Senhora da Piedade. Inside is the Museum of Sacred Art of Albufeira.
Estátua de São Vicente de Albufeira

A bronze statue in memory of São Vicente of Albufeira, that depicts him holding a crucifix with his left hand. The pious São Vicente was sentenced to death by fire because he did not deny the Christian faith and he died holding a crucifix and shouting "Long live the Christian faith".

Dating back to th 18th century, this church has a popularly inspired architecture, a dome surrounded by pinnacles and, atop the façade, baroque elements. Used as a funeral chamber.
Capela da Misericórdia de Albufeira

Built in the site of an ancient Moorish mosque, it was restored as Chapel of Misericórdia in 1499. Rebuilt after the earthquake in 1755, it still keeps the portal and the triumphal arch from the gothic 15th century construction. The chapel, the hospital and the ancient hostel are classified as Building of Public Interest.
