Chapel dated from the XVI century, composed by the main chapel, the vestry and two rooms annexed to the lateral façades. Formerly it was called the Ermida de São Marcos.
Conventual church dated from the XVII century, with harmonious façade, single nave and rectangular main chapel. In 1994 repairing and adaptation works were carried out turning the former conventual rooms into tourism lodgings.
This temple, existing since the XVI century, was rebuilt in the XVIII century. Worthy of notice is the wood carving work at the altars, the statuary, the panel representing Christ after descending from the cross and the holy water font, all forming an important artistic set.

Inside, are worthy of notice the main chapel with a beautiful altar retable of golden carving and the images of Nossa Senhora da Visitação and Santa Isabel. The glazed tiles covering the walls represent the Works of Mercy and are duly captioned.
